apparently you cant buy a normal tv anymore due to the fact that your data sells well so smart tvs have much better pricing but since i have the burning desire of my tv JUST BEING A FUCKING TV ( ), i was wondering if anyone could help me disable privacy infringing issues. like, i want the damn thing fully disconnected from the internet at the router level or whatever you do these days any tip helps, ty men !

or maybe its a better idea to just get a huge computer screen and use it as a tv ? at least it does what its supposed to do AND ONLY what its supposed to do

There are plenty of tvs that don't have smart capabilities. You can also just not connect it to your wifi. Its that easy. It doesn't magically hack your router.

its not if you are paranoid like me for example what if someone else is close enough to connect to the tv somehow !

i mean imagine a gypsy with a router and a smartphone walking around hacking tvs and stealing data! well okay maybe not gypsy, but an asian could pull it off easily!

I think it would be better if you stopped making excuses and actually tried to learn how things work. It will stop you from coming up with ridiculous "what if" scenarios that make no sense.
