im like 95% sure poison and mana burn kills ES sorc's, used to play it in past but it was long time ago so i leave that 5%

res is not factored into the damage that goes to your mana
it is factored into the damage that goes to your life

example:
you take 100 fire damage with 95% ES & 50 fire res
95 damage goes to mana
the other 5 damage is reduced 50% by your fire res. = 2.5 life lost
(so if you have 95% es, resistance is only applying to 5% of the damage you take)

DR% is treated same as res% for physical
integer DR & MDR are more helpful for ES

its more complex than that, but thats the basics.

poison res is the most important, but in HC i think you should keep all your res high

mana burn doesnt hit like it used to, ill usually have stack of juvs also

It doesn't hit like it used to. I'm not even sure if you tele into the middle of a pack especially with a BO barb like he has if you'd get 1shot by good perks.

Definitly hit some FHR bps. FHR/Mana or Skiller/FHR. There are all sorts of combos that hit the higher BP

I would have to say crescent moon and wielding infinity isnt exactly the best. crescent moon is a mid tier weapon imo and you lose too much to use it ie faster cast resists magic find ect. I would say lightning is overall better and cresting out at 44k player 8 chaos very easily. but nova may be an option especially in hardcore because of the energyshield. that alone makes you 2x more survivable with 1000k mana and all vit for hardcore
