i currently am messing around with a nova sorc on 8p hardcore, feels tanky overall but the damage feels lacking

how do lightning builds feel overall compared to nova? if im aiming to carry 8p chaos, would i be better off just investing into lightning over nova?

make sure you static first, maxed has a huge radius

I'm not sure on your build, but try to stack -enemy light res as much as possible.

Light facets, griffs, crescent moon (1h) or handheld infinity (2h) are good options to boost damage

Lightning is better damage for sure, but I think you'd wind up sacrificing quite a bit of survivability with it. Perhaps people run ES/light sorcs now? I'm not sure. But I think you'd have the same feeling about a light sorc at that point too.
The 105FCR nova requires also gives you some room to maneuverer gear a little more easily. Adding 12FCR is annoying.

i would need to probably get fcr ammy + another fcr ring to swap to crescent moon, but that might be an idea to try out

Consider fitting in crescent moon or more facets

If you want max block maybe a 20/20 light jmod since you're rich lol. That gives up your 35% Dr though

That is the cheapest and easiest way to check things out, but at that point you're capped.
I thought with ES sorc though you didn't need to rock a stormshield? I guess it is HC, you can never be too safe, but it might be overkill.

If you switch over to infinity in hands, a big benefit is that your merc can rock an insight while fuels your safety quite a bit (not sure about your current merc setup)

i run with level 55 bo also, so my mana pool could get huge.

How often do you wind up in a risky situation? Like near death currently?



Bro you're missing out. That is THE build. But you're hardcore so you do have to play defensive i get it, but it looks to me like most of these nova sorcs don't get touched even in P8.
Kill speed might be a bit low, but they're pretty damn safe with pretty damn good kill speed.
