To get rid of some unwanted facial hair, mainly above my lip and my eyebrows.
And let me tell you the upper lip area was BRUTAL. Like, the pain was probably not intolerable, but it was definitely very very noticeable. It was beyond mere discomfort. Luckily for me, I already don't have too much hair in this area. I remember one aesthetician told me that the amount of pain varied depending on the voltage setting used on the machine, and I believe that thicker hair would require more heat or electricity or such, which brings me to my next point: male to female transsexual. These people have man-like facial hair that grows thick due to the male hormones. So I imagine the pain for them would be even worse and not only that, the amount of hair is greater too, because biological men usually have more hair on their upper lip area than women. And these electrolysis sessions aren't cheap, they are 30 dollars per 15 minutes. I am pretty sure transsexuals can easily spend thousands of dollars to do their faces.
Anyway just want to share my day with you guys. Be very grateful that you are neither a woman nor a tranny.
