If you're ever on mobile and you get the /a/ for album in your link, you can tap the picture to isolate it and then copy the url as you usually would to get the correct url. If the url doesn't end in .png or .jpeg it will not embed.

You can skip the time consuming activities and use d2jsp to upload images directly to imgur.

While this is true, not everyone has money to throw around for UI perks. $10 can be a lot to some people. Especially in differing countries
