1000 series didn't go below MSRP because the 2000 series were poor bang for buck on original release which increased demand for the 1000 series and especially the 1080Ti. Rule of thumb is when a new generation of GPU's are released older generation gets cheaper where there is stock left.

Still rocking that juicy 1080 ti

Looks like I'll skip 4000 series as well, just a power boost it seems. Gunna be some chonky 3-4 slot cards imo lol
