You either javazon, trapsin, hammerdin, nova sorc do yes, or do no. Otherwise, squish like grape (with boredom ^^).
Hehe, my point is really, try something really challenging and don't be hasty about it. If you want a real challenge, try making it through normal mode with a bowa on hardcore. You are allowed to use starting gear+charms to make it a little bit more fun, say arctic set and such.
This HCL, i started out with all 7 characters. I play through the acts with every one (no cheats), only running through to take waypoints to eliminate so much searching, then leveling them. It's a lot of fun to be able to play every character this way. And gear you find, you can use on all the characters, and specific gear pieces on the corresponding character.
One other thing you can do is to help newbs, rush them and give gear. It can be quite rewarding. Do normal baalruns and rush groups through nightmare. Of course in hardcore.
Man i remember one season i started with sorceress, this was hardcore. I was quite lucky and found a few good gear pieces early, like viper, magefist and such. I used hydra/static. Made it to nm act 5 and was looking for baalruns, none appeared, so i decided to do them myself. I hosted 5-8 player games and tele'd myself, damn it was sketcy, but super fun ^^ People were grateful and commended me for doing that. Having a barb giving high level bo was of course helpful.
