Exactly. Why I said bro even a AH would be nice. That way the game would have it's own currency without just relying on gold. Hell in D2 and D2R the only useful thing with gold was repairs and gambling. That's why the old old Auction House in WoW was the shit. Before all these ridiculous micro transactions starting occuring to ruin shit.

Games in general will stop allowing players to trade with each other.

Game companies have learned that the real money maker from games isn’t selling CD keys or access, it’s selling items/currency in the game.

The d2 black market has generated significantly more revenue than blizzard ever made from selling cd keys.



Overall, games will be and have been designed so that the RMTs are the game developers themselves.

I doubt d4 will be developed with trading, or at least it will have minimal meaningless trading. But I’m not confident blizzard can develop a game good enough to matter anyway.

When company starts to be greedy then they fall apart, they can do that to D4 trading but then their end is near. Its a law of the universe.

If d4 isn’t free trade, I’ll just keep playing D2R….for the next 20 years.

Same... One thing that has blew my mind is I've noticed a lot of these action RPG games are released and they don't even have trading. And some of them even have developers who played Diablo in the past. Some of these developers don't realize how integral trading is to the core action RPG experience. It's more than a pillar.

One of the few good things from WoW (auction house) makes it into D3, but they have the stupid and greedy idea to implement realmoney transactions.
Everybody hates it and AH becomes a bad word for all eternity, so we have to trade in forums for the rest of our lifes. Well done new-blizzard, as always.

This would have not gone down like this, with the old crew man, it' just sad.

Edit: And what is it with these soul (lmao) and account bound items? What is this supposed to do? It just kills item hunting and trading, why would anybody want this? I don't understand. If they don't want realmoney sellers, they should start to sell the spambots in chat on a daily basis. One intern would be enough for that. Most people wouldn't even know about this option without this bots everywhere.
