I've had a g41m-p34 mobo for the last 14 years or so but I believe it fried in a power surge. Can someone find me something to replace it with? Maybe a slight upgrade? Its ddr3 and i have a gt610 coolmax psu. Not sure if theres any other info I should post
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/G41M-P34/SpecificationYour Motherboards Socket type is LGA 775
(Note) you didn't tell us if your Using IDE or Sata Connection for Hard Drive , CD/DVD drive ect.
https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100007627%20600007879&d=motherboardNewegg has LGA 775 Socket Motherboards that Support DDR3 Ram
Starting Price is $70 Used. Nothing new available.
Some on Ebay as well starting at 50$
Since you already have DDR3 Ram, I would just recommend updating to a newer socket motherboard with the cheapest CPU possible
( even new generation Cheap cpu ) should be faster than the best old generation LGA 775 socket CPU
( The Real Question is again if your using IDE Ribbon Cables for Storage,CD-drive,Floppy Disk Drive ect, or if your using the newer Sata Cables for those connections.
Now there is IDE to Sata Converter Adapters for Data and Power , they are like 10$ each.
Cpu: Intel Core i3-3240 - Core i3 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Dual-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 1155 55W Intel HD Graphics 2500 Desktop Processor
$40 New
Motherboards: Asus starting at 99$ , MSI starting at $129.
Honestly though. Your Motherboard probably just needs a new Battery ( Similar to what you put in a watch or a Vehicle Key-Fob )
CR2032 , Can get them at pretty much any store / gas-station.
Normally have to be replaced every 5-7 years. - Sometimes you can just take it out, clean it with wet paper towl, and do a Quick-Dry, and put it back in.
