Just think of it this way;

What do YOU want your character to do per action based on the game mechanics (1 click = 1 sec).

Now how do YOU want to spend that 1 click = 1 sec to produce for your character OR YOU gaining Forum Gold or a combination of BOTH?

Remember, you can NOT turn back time, so every click (1 sec) means something to whatever your GOAL is in the creation of your character.

Here is a real simple thing for people wanting to gain forum gold... don't play the game in a Catacomb... just Fish and Cook when you start, it doesn't cost you anything at the start since you get a free Rod. Join a Guild, say you are only here as a fisher / cooker and they may give you a Well for you to fish in during their climb and they don't have a use for it... I mean, the only time a Well disappears is when you drop items in it... not when you are fishing from it right?

If you want to play for fun... then play the game and use that 1 sec action gaining experience, the chance of an item drop, proficiency points and for those that like Guild Points, make it to Master Quest level... YOUR choice, I am only stating facts... every second (or action) counts towards your goal... not mine, not others... YOUR GOAL(s).

this is what i got while fishing in a well for 90 minutes.....pushed to lvl 30 so i don´t get sardines and herrings at skill lvl 24

6 x 183 mana cod = 1.098 mana
12 x 255 mana trout = 3.060 mana
8 x 516 mana cat = 4.128 mana
11 x 332 mana bass = 3.652 mana
11 x 352 mana salmon = 3.872 mana
=15.810/1.250=12,648fg

37 x 508 life cat = 18.796 life
29 x 302 life trout = 8.758 life
25 x 250 life cod = 6.250 life
32 x 396 life bass = 12.672 life
47 x 404 life salmon = 18.988 life
= 65.464/2.000 = 32,732fg

20 x random cat = 2fg
30 x random cod = 1fg
14 x random bass = 1,4fg
15 x random salmon = 1,5fg
16 x random trout = 1,6fg
=7,5fg

this makes in summary: 12,648fg+32,732fg + 7,5fg = 52,88fg/90mins = 0,5876fg/min

not included is the time for finding a well....and this was with 47.06% Faster Fishing Event

Yes muting is very profitable, but also very boring. It’s taken years and years to get to these upper lvls with the couple other people that are up here with me. It’s honestly a waste of time to get into muting unless you’re ready to commit to dedicating 5+ years to muting. My current lvl has taken me 6 months to get to 98% and I still feel like im a long ways away

Rolling essences is fun, which anyone can do now if they buy essences. And some people will say it’s profitable to buy essences and some will say it isn’t. I think it’s been profitable to the people that buy and roll a lot of essences, but if you just buy a 100 stack of something here and there and are expecting to strike it rich, you’re likely to be disappointed.

I will give you my honest opinion. It is a waste of time. The time you need to get high transmuting and the forum gold you need to pay for transmutables does never pay off.

I am atm at transmuting rank 35 on hardcore and the problems I had to get here were too much. But I am just addicted to the idea itself. Now my guild is inactive and I have no gear to play the game so the only way to transmute is to buy items.

I spent so much on transmutables that I would normaly buy a full set of items to play the game and you never get good returns.

Just imagine that now I have to make forum gold in other games so I can buy items to transmute.

Hardcore I imagine is tough because of a lower player base….However, saying it never pays off is definitely an incorrect statement when referring to muting on sc, which the original poster of this thread is asking about.

I read his title and his first post. He does not mention the league he plays. I am actually glad that transmuting on sc is in a good state. Good luck with the mutables!
