Yes they nest underground usually by trees, they eat the brains out of cicadas.
They have stingers but don't bother humans.

Super hard to kill, they're like armored flying tanks.
I have to hope they're burrowed, then I soak some paper towels in gas, plug their hole and light it on fire.
This smokes them/burns them up and their eggs.
