I'm curious what games and what you consider "very well."

I have a friend who plays warzone on a 3090+ryzen 9 build I did for him and his framerate frequently dips below 100fps. You could argue that it's still playing "very well" but it's noticeable dips and potentially disruptive in competitive shooters

60fps @ 4k is my average gamer standard. I consider that running at 4k very well.

you just mentioned your 3090 dipping frames at 4k below 100fps. Is that the average gamer standard? pretty high standard.

Depends what games you're playing. It should also be noted that warzone is particularly lacking in optimization

That said, cinematic games are fantastic at 60fps. I doubt you had a 3060ti holding 60fps at 4k on anything triple A from the last few years. My 3060ti couldn't even keep modded Minecraft at 60 on a 1440 monitor

Shooters and anything timing focus you want at least 100fps imo

I might just wait it out a couple weeks. It may be bad info, but "leakers/insiders" suspect the 4000 series to be announced in the next couple weeks, releasing shortly thereafter. Also there are some RUMORS that they'll be a large step up in performance from the 3000 series. I'm not sure about MSRP/prices at release, though. I'm guessing they'll release LHR cards not too far off MSRP, but who knows.
