Hello jsp,
I'm about to get a job in visual communication and I was wondering if my personnal computer was ok to homework.

Purpose :
Photoshop version 23.0, Illustrator version 26.0, InDesign version 17.0.

Current PC :
W11 Pro,
Nvidia 1080 GTX DDR5,
Intel i5-8300H 2.3 GHz,
16 GO RAM,
256 GO SSD, 1 TO as storage.

If i'm too short on something, please let me know what's wrong with my current setup.
Thanks for reading :santa:

You should be able to run everything just fine.

I ran Photoshop/Illustrator while I was away from home on a generic laptop;

Intel i5-4200M @ 2.50GHZ
4GB RAM
On-board video card

Wasn't like, lightning fast but I never like, had to zoom out and then wait 10 seconds to process the zoom. Longest wait was when saving something that was like 4000x4000 which could take like ~45 seconds to process it but all in all wasn't anything bad.

Only thing I would recommend you upgrading is your RAM/Storage. Adobe allows you to use a scratch drive to store temporary files for faster processing and it wouldn't be a terrible thing to add in a 2nd SSD that is dedicated solely to that. (Another 240/500GB) would be more than suffecient.

What Mainboard are u using?
Ur GPU should be fine. Maybe some more RAM could help. Depending on your mainboard you could also upgrade to 9th gen intel and maybe some more ssd storage.

Yet, I'm using a 18'' screen, I don't feel like I need more.
