Hey guys, I'm leveling a barb to hork trav and other things. It's my first barb so I'm not sure what weapon to use and I need your advice.

Firstly, i know Grief is the best in term of damage, but BOTD have really nice leech and stats. I was tempted in going the BOTD route but I need help for the base.

From what I understood, only the IAS from the weapon is counted for the IAS Breakpoint of WW right? And you need a weapon with 0% modifier to reach max BP with the 60% IAS from BOTD. So that leave me with 2 choices.

Great Poleaxe for 5 range
Colossus Blade so I can play 2hander or dual wield with a Grief PB

Also, if I DW a Grief PB with 2 range and BOTD CB with 3, will it affect my WW?

U can dual wield grief pbs and use orphans set belt for LL/ML, losing belt slot for goldwrap is not a dealbreaker

never been a huge fan of BotD. Spend a lot more to get about as much damage as a high roll Oath. The dual leech is nice but easy to make up for in other slots. I'd just go with Grief.

you don't have to sacrifice other slots for LL/ML and they are more than good enough for a trav barb

If you are rich enough to have grief + anni + torch, Berserk is the way to go. The entire reason to play Barb is find item and elite sniping. WW/Frenzy is okay for lower gear levels cause you have access to sustain, but let's be honest, if you wanted to aoe down density, you'd play pally/sorc/trap/zon. Berserk has the highest damage for minimal points invested. It deals magic damages so you almost never have to worry about immunes (physical in particular). It's downsides are no leech and no aoe, but if you are geared you are you trying to kill the council in 1-2 shots each or kill a champ and howl pack and move on. Griefpb + 42 ias total (grief inc) is 2nd highest bp. Berserk doesn't count off hand for damage but it does care for speed, so you can use stat stick (6 ist pb, 6 lem pb, Stormshield, rhyme for cannot be frozen+mf). Overall, I'm not sure if pit zerking is even that much more efficient than other classes in the new 85 areas for MFing, however for players 1, trav horking for RUNES is by far the most efficient run. In which case, focus on survivability and damage, cause there is no game creation timer. TLDR: Go Berserk for trav, Grief PB + stat stick/shield, make sure you have 42 ias total)

Best Horker weapon combo is Grief + 6ist weapon or 2ist alibaba with Zerk, or maybe stormshield with a nice jewel
