I have said before majority prefers to maintain status quo and once the older generation dies off in the next 20 to 30 years the amount of Taiwanese wanting to reunify will be much lesser.
But that doesn't mean they are pro independent .
Also the DPP already forcibly close off a few news outlet that have different opinions.

I'm too old to reenter the military. I got so sick of hospital work during the pandemic I considered it.
