Playing hardcore and just started a second account to make a BO barb, mostly just because I’m interested in trying new things.

What else do you like to do with two accounts? Sorc max enchant for boosting? Making multiple characters who have ancients completed but not worldstone keep so i can grush (does that even work multiple times?)

Looking to hear what people do other than mule and BO Barb with their second accounts / multi boxing.

I’m pretty new to the dual account set ups, started in hardcore non ladder about 2 months before ladder started, and have only really started on 2 accounts recently (hc deaths and real life had reduce my progression).

Account A - first account to level on ladder. BO barb set up, followed by enchanter. Both really only need lvl 70-80 and full hell clear. You may wish to not clear meph/diablo/baal on maybe the enchanter if you want glitched boss kills.

Account B - Everything else. I have a smiter (BO is useful, enchant helps with merc attack rating), a bowazon (very viable with extra BO life and 4K enchant fire damage even on budget set ups), similar physical dps based builds are probably all viable.

In NL I would have a weaker BO and enchanter set up on account B (which u could share gears with account A) but I reckon I have too little time and not enough character slot so I probably won’t this ladder

Main account usually sorc/enigma character

Bo barb

Filler so I can solo in p3. This account can be a smiter/uber character or enchantress, javazon to efficiently do cows in your runs.

Thanks for the input. i got my BO barb up and am definitely noticing i want to do more, as just having more health isn’t that exciting

So you make a BO barb as your first runthrough, then enchanter sorc (regular sorc respec) on the exact same account, then rush by constantly swapping them in and out for buffs? Seems doing the sorc first so you can rush account B and then rush bo barb account A is good?


cool i might do this too, im def realizing there’s not a huge point in running p2 and if i’m doing p8 then someone else could cover BO anyway. i like the idea of doing p3 cows with no MF and max runspeed, just find bases and runes, or farming ubers since i’ve never done that in my life (quit 1.09-1.10), any thoughts?

edit: it seems like 3 players in game and soloing does decreases nodrop from 62.5% down to 38.78%, but partied players on the area with p3 would be 24.05%, a pretty big improvement but not worth bringing the characters around manually 3boxing i suppose?

and ubering doesn’t matter with p number so i guess cows and mfing 3boxing makes sense, ubers 2box

Makes sense! thanks for sharing, I'll decide which path I'm going and start a third. been a lot of fun even just leveling the 2nd.

Should note too. You can rush yourself easily with multiple accounts

No easier with 3 than just 2 right? Or I guess rushing multiple characters at once is a lot easier lol

I like the account A barb first because it’s one character I hardly die with on hardcore, I use it early to build a bit of wealth and basic runewords so everything is easier.

if u could do sorc first if you like.

The reason for barb and sorc is enchant (mainly) and bo makes the first 40
Levels a breeze, the I just tag on free as a bumper on grush to clear new characters to hell a4/a5

cool! i'm surprised to hear you grush instead of rushing yourself but i guess that makes sense before you have your sorc (and afterwards too if it's really full enchant, harder to rush self)
