Hey guys,

My 3090, i9 10900k HP Omen prebuild died after 13 months of use.

So I have been working on a new build for my video editing/gaming needs.

I am now only missing a motherboard and I am getting lost in all the different models.

So I am looking to find a good motherboard that has at least 1 fast speed usb c and can fit my gen 4 nvme ssd and maybe an extra 1 for later.
Also idk if its psu or motherboard related, but I often had a issues powering all my usb devices at the same time especially when I was using my usb webcam in meetings. So hopefully this can be fixed as well.

Note that ssd and hdds were salvaged from the dead pc. Also, I couldnt find my exact gpu on pc part picker, but its the AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT.

why not just get a board for the 10900k and save money? otherwise you would want a newer X570 AM4 board usually noted with X570S to ensure its flashed with a later bios for the ryzen 5000 series they did not introduce a new chipset with the 5000 series. Most come with minimum 2-3 M.2 slots(if at least ATX Size) and USB-C as standard so any of the X570S boards will fit your needs if you want to upgrade to it.

Start with the Gigabyte X570S Aorus Master or MSI X570S MAG Tomahawk, to see if that's within your budget or not.

You would want the X570S because it's newer, and the chipset is passively cooled, not active. X570 has a fan on the chipset.

With Gigabyte, they have different revisions on the same board. Later the revision, the later/recent the BIOS version. I'm not sure on MSI.

I ended up getting the MSI MAG X570S Tomahawk on sale on amazon.
