That's what I'm trying to figure out if their worth building for pubs? Is the best setup a trap/ww hybrid now?

I think you want ww trap as back up

You want a greater talon of feral talon with 42% ias between the claw and gear, the off had type doesn't matter anymore so for a hybrid use a the high damage ones

Suwayyah or scissor suwayyah , essentially the highest damage claws because it will be your off hand claw and has no effect on ww or trap laying speed. There was a pretty good discussion on this in the last few pages of this thread.

I wouldn’t say sins are garbage now, hybrid and even ghost sins can still be really effective (I pub with one all the time). It’s not dominate now with ww being broken and the fixes to FHR.

So if you were doing a hybrid build you would want a pure trap claw / plague / fools, as a GT or Runic for the trap laying speed.

I have never tried with phoenix shield, although I would assume you wouldn't be as effective because it is hard to reach max block with phoenix shield and when you have x2 claws you can use claw block which literally will block anything.



I do more ww, which in D2R isn't as effective as LoD because of the ww mechanics... still fun although and still can get some good pks in pub games. At some point I have faith they will fix the ww mechanic.

Essentially there is something off with the animation.

I remember in LoD I could just ww away from smites and they would always eat ww before hitting me. Now it is like the first frames don't matter or it just doesn't work, so you just have to get a little craftier. Still can be effective, but doesn't work like it use to.
