In most cames you won't notice a huge boost, maybe 7% increased performance.
In Gun games you will notice nearly a 22-24% boost. ( Reason: Reflection rate handling )
The other thing to keep in mind is that the 3070 will be less stressed, so the fans won't have to run at HIGH RPMS all the time, resulting in a longer lasting video card.
