ASUS ROG Strix Z390-H Gaming Motherboard

I have been getting many blue screens, and wonder if it's related to the memory positions? The crashes happen at random times (gaming, YouTube, idle over night etc...).
Using these positions below. I got a fan on the cpu that's blocking the first spot (I just made up the numbers). I might be able to attach the fan on the other side of the heatsink, if I need to move all the memory over.

Looks like the manual says to use DIMM_B2 / DIMM_A2 for two sticks.... so seems like it would be set-up correct.

Thanks!

If you only have 2 sticks and 4 slots on the mobo, you should use the 2nd slot from the CPU socket, and the 4th

Yes they matter because of dual channel. Hope that helps!

Yeah that's what I got, maybe it's not a memory issue. I've done memory tests before and nothing came up.

Can try one stick at a time and see if there are any crashes. I know it's a PITA, but it's something to do to help isolate the issue better. It might be the ram, are they brand new?

Possible that one of your RAM sticks is broken. A friend of mine had an issue like this and it was caused by a faulty RAM stick. Like said, try using 1 RAM stick at a time and then see if it still occurs. If it occurs with only 1 stick, then that stick (or RAM slot) might have an issue.

Ok thanks will try that one out shortly. I just re-formatted my PC and also tried to be careful with installing drivers. If it crashes again, ill try that memory stick idea. Ive had this issue for a long time, the computer is about 3-4 years old.
