Game matters for sure as MMOs will benefit from extra buttons and FPS will be about weight and slide/accuracy

I use a Basilisk Ultimate for everything and I absolutely love it. Has a "clutch" for variable sensitivity which is excellent for shooters but can be mapped as an extra mouse button for D2R

Wireless has gotten imperceptibly fast now as long as you use the dongle and front-port of your PC (electromagnetic field of your PC can cause interference if your PC is between the dongle and your mouse. The basilisk ultimate has a dock so no issues here. I love not having a cord anymore for longer sessions

I believe Logitech and Razer take the cake for low-latency with wireless.

Above all else, don't order online. Your personal preference for shape and size (giggity) matter most so test some out in store before buying

Made my day

What mouse do you use ^Purplex ?

 I use a G900 that I've had for a few years, I've been thinking it's time to upgrade but haven't decided on what yet.. I might just be boring and get the g903 as an upgrade. maybe nothing standing out telling me to upgrade is a sign I should just stick with that series. the battery life is definitely worsening but it's not too bad yet. the Basilisk seems nice, I haven't checked out all the new latest and greatest SKUs since I bought the G900. is it derailing the thread to ask you what keyboard you use? I just got a Razer Huntsman V2 TKL over a ducky because it just seemed better on paper.. and y'know if my mouse has optical sensors.. why not my keyboard!? its 2022! but really I just liked the sound deadening foam and that it came prelubed (settle down everyone). is this a keyboard thread now?

I would keep the G900 unless the battery life bothers you! A buddy uses the G502 and loves it.

Seems like a gimmick but I actually like the dock for the Basilisk, it doesn't need to be mounted often but it feels good to throw it on. Also has the front USB port to charge it while using it 'wired'.

Since we've kept this mostly on topic I'll add that I also rock a Huntsman. This was actually my wife's choice when I was building our PC for aesthetic reasons but I auto-approved as soon as she picked it. Great keyboard

My #1 Ranks in Diablo 2 PvPs were done using a trackball mouse. That was some time ago though and I remember it took some dedication to become a pro with it. The last time I checked, an unused model costs at least half a grand, as they are no longer in production. A reason I enjoyed the trackball mouse was how I could move the cursor in ways I could not with a regular mouse. I have not found a trackball mouse quite like that mouse in current production, though I can hope one eventually finds its way into the market.

G502 is just the perfect mouse for my hand small/medium hand. I've tried a few dusin popular mice over the years and I always come back to the G502.
I don't like mice with ambidextrous design in mind, also the trend of very light mice is not me either. prefer them between 100-140g
So a pure right handed mouse, not to large, a thump rest, not to light weight.

My main mice:
Razer Mamba + Deathadder pre 2014, they both died just after 2 years of usage.
2014 purchased G502 proteus core -> 2017 G502 proteus spectrum (So my GF could take over the proteus core) -> 2020 G903 when i went over to mainly laptop (didn't like it, went back to g502 whenever i didn't need wireless) -> 1 week ago G502 lightspeed

Now you ask about a mouse of long gaming sessions
I've done 48hours events without sleep with the G502 multiple times. Also for D2R release I played an unhealthy amount of time with it.
