it needs to be compatible with your motherboard check beforehand you buy ram very important.

Also lots of problems come from video card not just ram, diagnostic first!

well really depends on your motherboard id recommend running dual channel 2x 8gb sticks. pretty safe to assume any motherboard that supports ddr4 can run 3200 cl 16.

what i would throw in there assuming its ddr4. much better than your old ram and wont be a challenge to overclock to 3200 on anything.

i googled my mb, most ram it says is ddr3, which i think i have

its ddr3
i got intel i5-4790k but i dont overclock it
