nova USED to scale bad before getting a buff for 2x more base dmg applied before all +%dmg form mastery and facets

infinity gives absolutely no defensive stats, and nova is nearly a melee spell
so the only thing I can say is...

Oh and I tested with hero editor and the extra 100% base dmg nova build -> 1 hit kill cows with enough +mana per kill to have 0 mana cost

I'm not even trying to defend the build, I'm exposing it is way too strong and I wish it wasnt that easy

But we'll see. I really doubt obsession > infinity on nova
And btw, you really think 15-25% life will make a big difference ?

Anyway, gl finding your base staff, and have fun with it later. That's the goal, have fun.

The life boost is massive when you’re in close range with nova, and also the weaken proc is effective DR if you get struck by anything while in a mob. It’s too early to say for certain exactly just how effective Obsession will be until it’s tested in game, but too many people are too quick to write it off completely without thinking about it.

Plus, PTR is pending - changes could be made to address deficiencies before its final form.

it also has some good mf/gf when we look at pvm

It seems Spirit + Spirit, Hoto + Spirit, Fathom + Spirit, Occy + Spirit they are all better options. Although, this new staff will be the same as the white wand on Bonemancers, it will be an offensive item for a specific type of duel and as far as i know, it won't be a cheap option, for example, 8/6 White wand is like 10k fg, a 3/3/x staff will be even higher.

have any of you that want to use this on a nova sorc, ever played a non-es nova sorc without insight?

nova EATS mana, like even on pvp es novas with 4k mana its noticeable, have fun with your 900 mana pvm builds lol
