Obsession was basically made for Nova and any caster that wants a tanky 2H caster weapon option

We now have a viable staff option that is arguably on par with hoto/spirit/ all that "end game" shit

Obsession gives 2 more skills vs eshuta/spirit
Those 2 extra skills = same dmg than the 20-25% given by eschutas, but gives also 2 more points in the skill used.

According to Overprice he use both a facet and a perfect rare jewel with defensive stats at the same time in his 2os perfect eschuta that sometimes suddenly morph into a hoto
(thats how he like to compare the maximum he can get from both a defensive setup and an offensive setup but at the same time vs obsession that always offers great offensive & defensive stats)

Now is this gg jewel able to compensate for the
175% total bonus individual res (70@ vs 35 to 3 res)
42%dr
5%fhr (60 vs 55)
25% max hp
30%mf (ist)
75%gf (lem)
Extra bonuses from obsession compared to eschuta/spirit
/then we have 20 total stats vs 22 vita from spirit
The only argument so far is “mana cost oh noes I dont wanna use pots!!”
(Yet 10 energy and 30% regen is giving faster mana regen than the ~100 mana from spirit)

Fun fact?
The better item cost like 10% of the price of the perfect multiple setups that can nearly imitate its stats if you swap to adapt at every situation (still its always weaker in the end no matter how you adapted in all situations)

So yeah… on one side we have the “pros” who are afraid of mana pots, who have unlimited budget and are willing to always swap setups, that only pvp
And on the other side we have to “noobs” who play both pvm and pvp and simply say : hey will you look at that? This cheap item is kinda good?

Sadly the “pros” are always right and we can’t argue with these “facts” that they dont wanna tell us

if you want budget pvm gear, use occy and spirit lol. its only slightly worse for WAY cheaper and more mf

IF this staff ends up being good, the base alone will make it absolutely not budget, so it makes sense to compare it high end setups.
its worse than high end setups. not so much worse that its un-usable, and a sorc rocking a staff does sound cool, but its worse

its ALMOST good enough, but needs like -10 to -15 enemy res, or 5 more fcr, cbf, idk SOMETHING else

The staff is super easy to find, run cows with a 0mf javazon and just pick those white staff. I find a decent one every run
