I'm arguing over that you vastly underestimate how important PvP actually is to d2:s longevity. And yeah, I would contribute D2:s great pvp aspects to have a HUGE part as to how we ended up with a d2 remake in 2021. Not the only one, but could be argued to be the most important part. cuz without PvP, d2 would've been killed off much, much sooner due to new games coming out who are better at pvm. But for pvp in the genre d2 was it, basically.

But yeah, pvp in d2 was always just 50-100 guys on useast jerking eachother of. keep thinking that.

Botting is a means not an endgoal. Without pvp people wouldnt be botting for decades.
I prefer d2 clean of bots myself.
