I've always enjoyed the gameplay fire druids, and if you've ever played one you probably know they are insanely strong at low level. :)

Now that they're getting a buff (especially for physical damage) I am wondering how viable everyone thinks fire druids will be at higher level.

Since they have both Physical and Fire damage, do you think they'll be useful for farming level 85 areas on a budget?

If the buff for physical damage is really high, like 50-50 fire-physical, then sure, if not I think the shaman will still be an alternative (half fissure, half summoner).

Even with almost perfect gear fissure damage is not that high on screen, but it can do the job, I farmed cows time to time with a fissure druid in p5-p8 games and is not the worse, so, if fire immunes are not a problem (or only "half a problem") is totally viable for p1-p3 for sure, and with good gear playable in higher settings just slower than top pvm builds.

will be viable. Probably not great as a starter character because it will require high costing gear to be effective in endgame

Fire dmaagw will always be largely irrelevant in pvm because of the high levels of fire resist monsters have, and the high % of monsters that are fire immune.

It will only be a niche build for niche 85 areas that they added that have a low fire resist population of monsters. It won’t be a main stream or main build until they normalize fire resistance to the level of lightning resist monsters.
