I don't understand exp. I swear that 8ppl fast baal runs get me less xp per hour than a much slower solo baalrun in an 8ppl game

Hmmm So 8ppl baal run only gives 35% more xp than solo? (Because 450% xp for 8ppl is shared between party?)

And solo baalrun in 8ppl game gives 450% extra xp?

It's just annoying because to level up effectively i have to join an 'act3 hell go' game with 8ppl and then kill diablo/baal solo so they can't finish the quest.

Personally, i run through the acts solo and kill enemies according to the level i am, minus 5 monster levels. I find that that gives me good enough experience.

If i do boss runs, i do quest bugged boss runs, to maximize drops from bosses.

No, that not how it works.

If you are in a p8 game, alone and you do the kill, a monster that would normally give 100exp would give 450exp to you.

If you are in a p8 game with 7 people within two screen of you, then that same monster will give 100*4.5*865/256 = 1520,51 exp, and now that exp is shared bewteen all the 8 players, if they all have the same level this is 190,06 exp per player, so 90% more than playing alone in a p1 game.

If they have different levels, all char levels are added together, and then you get 1520,51 * your clvl/total party level in the two screen range.
