In all fairness, everything is made in China in current day (the source figure of that issue need not be repeated - we are all well versed at the decisions said figure was involved in).

It is very possible those same masks were also in stock for quite a while before COVID was recognized.

The journal its actually published in (Journal of clinical translational research) is a predatory journal that will publish anything you send them if you pay. appearing on pubmed doesn't mean its been vetted by or endorsed by the NIH.
