For ES, the rep and mana% from hoto and the mana from spirit from spirit are better. Along with the extra 10% FCR means you can use another SOj more than obsession, which is even more mana. And only makes obsession give 1 More skill than hoto+ spirit+soj

For Cold, fathom + spirit does more dmaagw than a 3cold/3mastery/3blizzads/2sockdf orb with 2x facets + spirit. And that gives 8 total skills and 10% cold damage and -10% cold res. Which is 1 more skill and 10% damage and -10% cold res more than obsession.


For vita, Eschutas gives 25% more lightning or fire damage and -5% enemy fire or lightning resist more than obsession along with 10fcr more. Which means you can use a BK. Thus only making the difference between them 1 skill. But Eschutas will give the 25% more damage and -5 enemy resist, which is much more than what 1 skill offers.



Obsession is trash and only looks good to idiots that don’t know how this game works.

Theoretically a higher ceiling you can reach but also a lot more expensive. Still finding the right base will not be easy. I haven’t seen a staff with those mods yet. Good luck finding or buying it. If you are able to gather all the pieces, it has every right to be the best weapon in the game.

Ofc you haven't seen a staff with those mods... why would people have even bothered picking up a staff like this? The only staff that had use before was memory, all other mods aside from buffing mods were completely ignored.

flickering flame offers a shtload of fire res(106!!!!!) and some max fire res (8), absolutely perfect with spirit
maybe put it on a2 merc, replacaes guilleame face well
