Watch any sixers game and Embiid practically faces a double team every time he touches the ball.

The magic decided to let him go 1v1 mostly all game and the result was that he dropped 50 in 27mins lol.

No, it's a real statistic lol. Google does wonders, there are a few places you can find numbers on it. Plus, I watch like every Sixers game along with a ton of other games. NBA games are the only thing i watch, outside of football when it's still NFL season. And UFC fights on the weekends.

But just watch a Sixers game, you'll see that Embiid can't get the ball and clean space to work against a single defender ever. And if he does? BBQ chicken with ease. There's nobody in the NBA that can defend him 1 on 1 at this point, it's ridiculous how easy he makes it look at his size shooting step back faders and also backing guys down and just bodying them too.

A lot of people here don't watch 76ers games, and that much is obvious. But anyone that does knows how often he gets doubled and yet still eats with ease lol. All the more reason they need to get a killer established star guard next to him.

Implying that Jokic is the defender that Embiid is just takes you out of this discussion, automatically.

Embiid is always in the DPOY discussion, always. He's always all-defense while Jokic never is.


Gobert has won DPOY in 3 of the last 4 seasons, but if that wasn't the case Embiid would be a perennial all-defense 1st team player every single season (instead he has had to settle for 2nd team every season).

not an embiid vs jokic thing, just curious why the numbers are lower, maybe more catch and shoot etc. or is each time catching and passing a posession? because he moves the ball a lot, and fast etc.

I do know that embiid gets a whistle in the regular season he doesnt get in the post season so best of luck this year

Embiid posts up way more, and has a lot more success doing it. More time for double teams.

Also, Embiid got 12 free throw attempts PER GAME against the Hawks in the 2nd round of the playoffs lol. Idk what you mean he doesn't get calls in the playoffs? Guy is a 30/10 machine in the playoffs.
