Well this is cute! Well done for persevering. Long distance is very painful, I know!
Good luck in your future proposal/marriage! :)

Married and happy -

Proposed March 31, 2022, and Married May 05, 2022.

Making plans for the future, happy and healthy right now. The immigration process has begun and that's another 2-year journey.

Finally paid off - 5 1/2 years of long-distance - saving extra money to visit every year while we waited for everything to be finished and her to finally be able to move here.

Covid was our final test, and we made it. We've been made pretty strong through this long-distance stuff.

Here's to the future. <3

I was a having a terrible day, until I read this. I am so happy for the both of you to finally be able to start your lives together. It will be a fun tough road and their will be hard times.

THE BEST advice I have is NO MATTER how hard it gets, or how bad a fight is NEVER and I repeat NEVER go to bed mad at each other. Even if it seems impossible , always give each other a kiss goodnight. Remember as well , you dont have to do everything together all the time. Make sure to give each other space and time for yourselves as well to be alone or with friends, it will make the relationship even stronger. COMPROMISE always , dont settle for something that will make you or the other person unhappy, always find a middle ground.

Good luck to the both of you and I am so stoked <3 when you propose I want to read all about it!!! If you dont want to post at least pm me what happened!!!

I am assuming that you are very young, probably in your early 20s? If yes, why would you want to get married that young. Yes maybe she is a wonderful person however there are simply a lot of things, adventures, even women, that you haven't experienced.

well it really sounds like you are happy and life is great - thats good.

Still for me personally it feels a bit rushed because it sounds like you never lived together until now. And while you may feel strongly for each other which certainly may help overlooking potential problems for the time being, living together also has to work when life becomes kind of a routine after a while. I really do hope the two of you make it happen :)
