I bought a car out of state.

Went to the Illinois DMV to title. They needed the Original Title from Michigan. Michigan Dealer Mailed me a MSO that should work.

Illinois DMV is closed for 2 weeks for Covid statewide.

If I cant get my title done online, am I able to sell the car currently, or do I have to wait until I get this all figured out in at least a couple weeks?

Just drive it til DMV is available. At worst you might get pulled over and then you just explain it's not something you can fix because the DMV is closed.

Was looking to sell it. The Temps I have did expire, but they said Expired Tags are good through March Now.

Well considering all you have for paperwork is something that basically says "this is a real car". I doubt you're going to find any reputable buyer to deal with that aspect plus a closed DMV.

Title in hand is necessary for a sale in your state according to DMV site.

You'll want to have the title/registration properly in your name before you sell. And when you transact, do it at the DMV to make sure the title is transferred correctly to the new buyer at time of sale. Make sure you get confirmation of Notice of Sale to your state as well. Depending on your state law, probably a good idea to keep the plates that are registered to you.

Thanks, found a dealer who said they can do the paperwork end for me, well finish it i guess. Accepted their offer, supposed to drop the car off tomorrow. Hopefully the check clears and no issues haha
