"new water cooler"
HOW DO I BEST FILL THIS GAP? stock cooler touched these R15 and caps with thermal pads but new cooler (advertised fit) absolutely does not. I have measured 6.5mm between r15 chips to top of cooler plate. when i saw the temps going nuts i opened it and stacked 3 thermal pads on top of eachother on both sides and it cooled it down but not as well as i like.
I even had to lessen the thermal pad size on the vram because this block had a 1mm gpu plate and a 2mm raised vram size.
thermal paste is the kryonaught brand
supposed to fit my gaming oc 3080 pcb
mining temps (44°c gpu core) (66°c hotspot) (58°c memory temp) 99.8mh/s
1180mhxcore clock
gaming temps (61°c gpu core) (91°c hotspot) (34°c memory temp) 204/fps
1950 mhz coreclock
stock cooler had (38°c gpu) (47°c hotspot) (80°c memory temp) 99.8mh/s mining 204fps
stock cooler starting corrosion reason for changing
shit sucks
any ideas?
should i stack thermal pads on top of eachother?(great brand)
should i find 6mm pads that are a brand of less quality?
should I try to re-electrically the stock cooler so it would stop being corroded
