I'm working on a project turning RO into an Arena style PvP game. No grinding/PvM, simply log in and within 2 minutes you are ready to PvP with any character you want. Obviously, this sort of server will not attract the majority of RO players, but for those who remember Pre-renewal PvP, they will find this as a nostalgic blast from the past experience

Let me know if you'd be interested in this kind of server, and if you have any ideas feel free to share them. I am keeping the core of pre-renewal in place, but I will have a few modest tweaks to make the PvP experience more fun and balanced and less of a potion spam-fest.

This server should be released within 5-6 weeks.

That second video hits close to home. LLRO was the first server I played on (05-'10) and seeing an old Interactive/NoobSchoolBus video took me back.

How's the progress my dude

It's going well, we are finishing the character and item changes, after that the PvP progression system. Everything else is ready, minus the 5v5 event which will be released later down the line (after the server is open to the public)

Wish I had more help with the art/social side of this, but I'll figure it out. The most important thing is the coding and getting this thing online.

imo most ro server fail due to autopots and no delay grf etc... probably need to work on that area as well, or just make it a command where all player can use

I bought the best anti-cheat software you can get. Potions are capped to 10 upon entrance of any PvP event or Arena, you can't stack them and they have a client side delay that prevents you from spamming them.
