My buddy just changed his video card from a 760 to a 1050 ti and his board shows a code of 6f or bf at load, then shuts down before anything shows on the screen.

I tried googling and it says on several sites that the voltage needs to be adjusted? Idk, I would love some help here on diagnosing what to do.

He has asus x99-a motherboard.

Hi Borr,

Is the video card the only thing he changed? I'm asking because a bF code usually results in something RAM related.

In order to find the root cause, we need the exact error code along with all the changes he's made.

It was the only thing we changed. I noticed that the asus motherboard memory slot recommendations were slots b1 and d1 so i moved them there and its working so far. Not sure why the 750 was working fine but this one had an issue.

Either way, it helped me solve that issue too, luls.

Gunna install the drivers and see what happens.

Ah good to hear, so moving the memory seems to have resolved the issue?

When I checked the system info, it only shows 8 gigs of memory instead of 16. I must of done something wrong. Merp..

I used the second image:

D1 and C1 seems to work fine. I'll just leave it as is. :D
