Just like you have the mediator warning, please also post a warning asking members to CONFIRM battletag or PSN usernames etc ON JSP before making trades.

People are getting scammed literally daily, 4-5 people muiltiple times, by impersonators... Theres one going on currently, under battlenet tag kingkong...

People are really clueless and don't have any idea to confirm on jsp before hand..

It specifies to do this during mediations. Users also must input their account names in the mediation system. With the new mediation system it’s efficient, takes no extra time, and is the safest way to trade.

They can search the bnet tag in SA AFAIK too. But if they are already doing that, they might as well use a mediator

The mediation process still isnt great if Im being honest. I've done it a few times, and once I had to wait over 24 hours for the fg because the other guy didnt confirm he got the item... anyways just browse the SA forums for an hour each day, youll realize how crazy its getting but yea :/

Hey Sciatika,

You can make a suggestion on the appropriate forum here if you feel strongly about it: https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=258

You might get some support there.

I am a new member and haven’t had an issue yet. I have traded excessively in the first two months and feel like the website provided enough instructions, guides, and help on how to safely trade without mediators.

I have also used mediators and believe more people should utilize them for larger deals as it is super efficient and easy

I can see how that’s frustrating, if it helps I’ve done nearly 400 mediations in just over a month and I’ve seen that happen maybe 2-3 times for ones I’ve done. It’s uncommon to wait more than a couple mins.

100%. I think any newer players should be using mediators for anything over 100 fg tbh. I'm just getting frustrated seeing people lose hard earned items, its sad..

Also, I'm not exactly sure on the SA helper protocol, but like they should put 2 and 2 together and realize based on the other threads, that the SA is bogus a lot of the time... I'm seeing this SA helper keep asking for more "proof" when in the screenshot, you can see its the same battletag whos scammed on behalf of like 4 people..

The current system for Safe Trading on D2R works well. At times Staff, just like other people, have something that comes up. Regardless, the forum gold that was used in the trade gets to the account it belongs to.

If all traders requested a mediator, no one would get scammed. Implementing additional information above the already useful notice and guides on the forum would divert users from the ability to have a safe trade at any given time, as members would be more inclined to confirm what would seem as a safe trade without a mediator.

The SA team has a protocols they follow that has worked for some time. While some may think the information they ask, and some times repeatedly, seems redundant it is not. They deal with a cases publicly while also preforming actions privately, which often leads to users having a WAIL topic for multiple scams they did while using multiple accounts. When a user decides they would like to pay back the scams they did the forum gold gets sent to the user(s) it is owed to.

If you have an issue with a member of the staff team then reach out to a senior mod. Https://forums.d2jsp.org/staff.php?g=30 If it pertains to the SA forum then reaching out to the SA Leader seems like another viable option.
