Does anybody else win/lose games and your rank doesn't go up/down like the bar doesn't move? Just curious.

I think if you lose a few in a row, it will take a win streak to reverse the direction

They have already confirmed that it is based on your performance in a game that will determine how much you win gain and lose.

If you win a game, and carried your team, you will likely gain a decent amount of ranking.
If you win a game and were at the bottom, chances are you will only gain a little bit of ranking.
If you lose a game but played better than your average and team, chances are you will not lose any ranking or very little ranking.
If you lose a game and played like a potato, you will lose a fair amount.

Other factors play into this as well. Such as winning a game, where your opponents ranking is higher than yours. Or losing a game where your opponents ranking is lower than yours. Things like that. You will also notice that at a certain point, you will feel like your climbing much slower, this is due to you being closer to your proper placement.

Yeah I lost 6 in a row and my rank didn’t move at all.

If this is true I guess it makes sense. I like that actually. Cause there’s a lot of losses where I go off like crazy and get stuck with shit teammates

Yeah being in Diamond 6 now I am getting games where I carry so hard but my teammates are still gold/plat? And we lose but I lose no ranking. Hoping to be Onyx tonight.

I was stuck for a little bit too, and I noticed I would go like 12/10 or 14/12

It’s got to do with performance. If you’re breaking even in game and winning, it’ll show you’re in the rank you’re supposed to be in
