Got my booster two weekends ago, no negative effects. I'm two weeks out and since side effects always present themselves within a couple weeks of any new medicine I'm good.

Despite California and Florida governors’ drastically different approaches, the states saw almost identical outcomes in COVID-19 case rates

Nearly a year after California Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered the nation’s first statewide shutdown because of the coronavirus, masks remain mandated, indoor dining and other activities are significantly limited, and Disneyland remains closed.

By contrast, Florida has no statewide restrictions. Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has prohibited municipalities from fining people who refuse to wear masks. And Disney World has been open since July.

Despite their differing approaches, California and Florida have experienced almost identical outcomes in COVID-19 case rates.

California’s COVID-19 case rate now twice Florida’s

SAN JOSE, Calif. — A month ago, the coronavirus seemed headed for a long winter’s nap in masked and well-vaccinated California. Gov. Gavin Newsom boasted that the Golden State “continues to lead the nation” as the only state to reach the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s yellow “moderate” tier of community virus transmission.

COVID-19 cases are not falling in California anymore. They have climbed back up to the CDC’s blood-red “high” level of virus transmission as the highly contagious delta variant continues to wreak havoc.

Meanwhile, the virus has gone quiet in Deep South states that abandoned mask orders, opposed vaccine mandates, posted lower vaccination rates and saw larger outbreaks over the summer. California’s case rate is now well above Texas’ and double Florida’s, which along with the rest of the Gulf Coast are down to the CDC’s orange “substantial” transmission level.

looks like Newsom the Missing (anyone checked the French Laundry for unmasked guests? Newsom was there a lot during the pandemic) is the death bringer

Check the deaths: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109011/coronavirus-covid19-death-rates-us-by-state/

California doing WAAAY better than Florida.

But there are many other variables that make this post as underproven as your post, such as average age per state, average $$ per person. Since Florida is a tropical third world + America's retirement home it just isn't going to do as well as the monied educated younger California, who has the 4th largest GDP in the world last I checked.

I have friends who moved out there tho, and they had a fire the size of Columbus, Ohio, about the distance of Columbus, Ohio from Cincinnati, and I was like nty. I'll take my weird urban midwest milieu.
