I came across another variation of pullups, if they can even be called that. Imagine hanging from the bar, elbows locked, instead of pulling yourself up like traditional pullups you squeeze your shoulder blades. You dont use your arms whatsoever during this exercise, arms used only to hang. Doing that will cause you to generate some lift but its very minimal.
Thought Id share in case you ever want to mix it up.
