so.. according to my ancestry I'm +75% Polish and have a last name I can't pronounce. Great Grandparents arrived in the U.S. in the early 1900's.

Can anyone here tell me if "Siolka" translates to anything in the polish language? Or is my last name just a random assortment of letters.

It's na easy name to pronounce, just needs a little practice on the "si" which in this case sounds like "ś", hence the phonetical translation would be: /ɕolka/. I don't remember if that's how you put the "short A" in English phonetics but that's it. The word itself doesn't mean anything.
