In my opinion, it's not worth upgrading. Just use that PC until it dies, considering your use which is fairly light.
You have an Intel 4th generation CPU. The current generation is 11th. If you're thinking of a CPU upgrade to 11th generation, you'll be forced to upgrade your motherboard and RAM with it. Or even 5th generation, which will force you to upgrade the motherboard (but maybe keep the same RAM?).
If you want to upgrade your GPU, go for it. Again, I don't think it's worth upgrading given the other components. Your current motherboard supports up to PCIe Gen3. This means that RTX 2000 series will get the full bandwidth and capability (but possibly limited by your CPU; I haven't checked). You can also pick the RTX 3000 series, but it uses PCIe Gen4. So the full bandwidth isn't there but the loss or difference between Gen3 vs Gen4 should not be significant for your use/games.
This ^^
Once you start sourcing out new MOBO..New CPU.. you're already spending too much for what you can get new/build new.. and even if you wanted to upgrade the GPU in this to the RTX2000/3000 series, with an 4th Gen i7 you will more than likely run into bottleneck/performance issues
If those are the style of games you are playing, I'd recommend riding this one out and then getting a new setup with a Ryzen 5 5600G. The APU in this will outperform your dedicated GTX1050Ti GPU all day, and helps keep costs low since you don't need a dedicated GPU..
Sell the used & take that profit to buy new.
