i'm curious if theres others than me that would benefit by having an oauth for d2jsp accounts.

it would helpt to legitimate users in 3rd party applications (thinking of the pokerscene and generel non-intrusive enhancements via browser-apps)

I am thrilled. Great idea. We had a lot of possibilities, like live information about the games we play, because many of them offer API. Such as Game Data APIs of battlenet. There is no Diablo 2 R API yet, but Diablo 3 is available. The same goes in the other direciton then for a d2jsp API! I am for it.

i think that allowing stuff like this to the game is a slippery sloap.

once the bots and hackers took over d2 it kind of killed the game slowely in a way atleast in my opinion.
and when i start to allow stuff like this there are always people out there that will twist it and find a way to abuse it in some way

im all for small quality of life changes and things that make the game better to help with its longevity but allowing add ons can lead to alot of other things
at least in my opinion.

i wish there was a thread of something kind of comunication between d2 and blizzard that blizzard actually listened to and some of the good ideas that the players had could be heard
