What's the best free antivirus on the market?

not sure about the best, but using avast atm and its fine if you can ignore the spam from it

As a cybersecurity insider, I would say the best antivirus is caution and due diligence with Windows Defender in the background. It isnt very resource intensive, and works nicely with Windows, obviously. If you truly need a 3rd party solution though, I would recommend ESET Nod32, with Adguard Home running on a raspberry pi using DNS over HTTPS.

Nod32 or Kaspersky. People throw a fit cuz Kaspersky is a Russian company, but the team that does their research and analysis is really high end.
If you're kinda tech savy and keep windows updated and watch what you download/install/sites you visit like Magicdka said windows defender is a lot better than it used to be.
