happened tonight in the wolfsburg-sevilla match. after the wolfsburg player cleared a ball, the VAR contacted the ref and apparently only showed him the one frame where the boot is on the sevilla player's shin, but not how the ball was clearly played first, and the sevilla player arriving late was actually responsible for the contact.

to me that's nothing short of ridiculous. never in a thousand years is that a penalty - and how the fuck is VAR allowed to just show a single frame and not the whole situation? i wonder how much that assistant bet on sevilla getting a draw in this match...

Sevilla was the better team. Wolfsburg should be ecstatic with that result. Yesterday’s game with Atletico was a complete and total blunder.

VAR in UCL this year so far is an abomination. KDB karate kicked Gueye in the leg after going down 0-1, got just a yellow and it apparently wasnt even reviewed.

As mentioned of course the decisions in the Wolfsburg-Sevilla and Atletico-Madrid matched were horrible. And apparently review didnt fix them

this call is so ridiculous, thats borderline match fixing

hm, i didn't watch the match, but from the highlights and match stats it seems like sevilla had a lot of possession, but both teams created some good scoring opportunities.

anyway, that's entirely irrelevant to the thread, as i'm talking about a specific situation. feel free to tell me if you think this was a penalty or not.
