Looks like we are 3 days in and there's already a dupe method. Jsp is the only reason this game is alive and the only reason there was enough of a community around for them to even consider making D2R. It is the main source and stream for economy and activity compared to in-game, and allowing dupes to be traded here at d2jsp will absolutely destroy this game and result in a crashed market season after season. It's extremely hard to enforce the banning of unperm items when Blizzard's only counter against it has been clashing ID's to poof away bad items.
For example, if Blizzard gave unpermed items a unique symbol like a
strikethrough and could delete the item/rune/etc instantly once that specific character code was registered on the server it would clean things up but also add a layer of buyer/seller credibility. A user selling a strikethrough Rattlecage as legit could be disciplined but buyers would also know the item was duped.
Unfortunately we have to rely on hidden ilvl's that majority of players won't be able to see which turns into us buying an item based on the history of other users. It becomes a matter of he said/she said because an item disappeared 2500 games later and Jsp can't fully moderate that.
In certain part of the forums FG that was made from selling duped items can't be used which is Jsp's way of enforcing against that; but at the end of the day what can any of us do?
Not saying I disagree with your post but just adding perspective of why it's such a complex thing to navigate.
also just throwing out examples not suggestions before the D2 Mechanic Guru tells me why the above wouldn't work
