You can set the reset the BIOS setting by removing the CMOS battery, and then reinsert it. It will reset the BIOS setup password.

did this and it still asks for pw; now im trying to get admin access so i can reformat the PC but i cant even do that

Are you sure that's the BIOS password? If you removed all batteries, there is no where to store the password.

Actually - sometimes the factory BIOs password can revert back and lockout the Motherboard. It’s common on Dell and HP. We seen them often from our school district contract at my repair company.
