I need something to do til launch. I see Median XL 2.0 drops today, looks like they have an active playerbase. This mod worth playing? I've never played PD2 or anything, mods arent my thing but this looks different enough from d2 to the point where it's a different game altogether..

I was just reading through the change log the other day.

They do have a new GUI theme as you point out. There are enough updates being offered that I will have no choice but to give it a play.

I prefer PD2, median was a big change away from the original game, almost a complete different game imo.

That's what it looks like to me, too - and have never /will never try it. Just saw the trailer for 2.0 - I don't want 'new skill trees' or 'removing the corpse feature' or whatever.

I played it years ago, donno actual patches but median XL really offered something else in a d2 environment we are all used to.

But as pimpdawg said, it is completely different, but kind of a masterpiece in its own way

If a d2 mod, which is completely different to d2, doesnt scare you, I can really recommend to play it

But as a time filler between now and d2r you have to consider, that you will still find yourself to be in an early stage of a XL-learning curv, once d2r launches

Project Diablo 2 is another mod very close to original d2

Yeah see the amount of things in Median is daunting and turning me off. Maybe I'll check out PD2 to fill my time
