Hello!

I have preordered the PS5 version because my laptop is too crappy to play videogames nicely, but d2 LoD works perfectly on it (imagine it wouldn't hehe).
I was wondering if switching the graphix from d2R to the old ones would make it run as smooth as it would run D2 loD, can't really find an answer for this...
If so, I'll buy the PC version as well, play the game on PS and do most of the trading &stuff on the good old laptop.

Does any1 know?

Kind regards,

A Veteran that can't leave d2 alone...

I would imagine that as long as you meet the minimum requirements for processor/ram for d2r switching to the original graphics should play as smoothly as lod

Requirements will be much higher than lod, even if you play on old graphics

typical D2 reqs from what I remember: Voodoo2/Riva TNT 32, Celeron ~266, 32mb sdram

sa what mean much higher for sd graphic? question is only about optimalization, Blizzard was always famous from good optimalization, even d3 is very good optimalized.

Imo they should give ppl options to run SD ver only and Win7/8 support or many ppl will refund/won't buy d2r.

Yes and no....
CPU and RAM usage is pretty much the same, no mater if you play it in classic mode or not.
GPU usage goes down ~60-70% if playing in classic mode.

TLDR: You still need pretty new CPU and some ok RAM.
