How big are you?

Zero experience on a bike? Dirt bike or anything?

i would go with the cbr 600rr, if ur choosing between the cbr or ninja 600.
cbr sits a little lower and i believe its less wide. you might even be able to get both soles of ur feet on the ground.
def. for a beginner you want to minimize any inconvenience until your a more experienced rider.

My honest advice would be to, go find the bikes from a private owner, unless your buying it brand new outright from the dealer, either way go test sit, compare weight, see if you can push it backwards(reversing). which ever one is easier for you convenience wise. id go for that one.
as far as technical and skill itself, you'll have to learn that hands on riding over time.
