Hello forum,

This build is centered around three elements: Harmony, Magic Arrow and Valkyrie. It has already soloed Hell some time ago and is now level 89, but there is one big change: I now have the runes for Faith. Not for the amazon however, but for the mercenary.

Current gear:

* Harmony on a matriarchal bow with +3 skills;
* shako socketed with a 15% IAS jewel;
* Laying of Hands;
* Atma's Scarab;
* Fortitude on a scarab husk;
* Ravenfrost;
* rare ring with + to lightning res and life leech;
* War Travelers+upg Goldwrap ("mf" gear), Nat's boots+Nosferatu's Coil ("war" gear);
* notable charms: torch, anni, Gheed's Fortune, 1 bow skiller, 1 pasv skiller;
* secondary weapon: CtA and Splendor.
* mercenary: act 2 might, ebugged Fortitude, Vampire Gaze, Obedience on a cryptic axe.

The reasons why I want Faith on the merc is pretty obvious: better AR/damage/speed... If using the correct gear. And there are elements of the gear which I do not want to change:

* Harmony and the type of bow on which it is on (elemental damage, revives, + to valk, vigor);
* Atma's Scarab (AD proc!);
* Fortitude.

Another important thing to consider is that I have not yet rolled Faith; and IAS calculations tell me that I need 50 IAS in order to reach the maximum speed of 1 attack every 7 frames even if I roll the minimum fanaticism level (12; with 14 or 15 I could do with "only" 45 but I don't want to count on it).

Hence my current inclination:

* Andariel's Visage as a helm; if socketed I'll have a 40% ed, +9 max damage to put in;
* Gore rider as boots to add chances of crushing blow.

What do you think? Also, what if I can only do with 45 IAS if my roll is lucky enough?

Without upgrading your bow little be hard to get significant improvements.

Wear War travelers always, better than Nats boots
Add dmg by swapping out your light res ring with a max/min one. Get small charms with damage.

No goldwrap use nos belt

I do when using my "war gear"; most of the time however I hunt for gear (including gambling; I have to do something with the money I gather) and the reason for Goldwrap is that just like Nosferatu's, it provides 10% IAS.

In other news, I rolled; fana level 14 so I only need 45 IAS which is good news for the breadth of possibilities I can consider

Several things to consider here:

* not sure what you mean by "upgrading [the] bow"; as you may have noticed already, I value speed, and the only upgrade I'd see to the bow right now is another matriarchal bow with %ed on it and a lucky roll on Harmony (its %ed spread is quite large, being 200-275... Currently I have 261);
* I value lightning resistance; my ring, and Nat's boots, both help. Since I like to solo everything, even within games with several people, I want a good enough lightning resistance which allows me to survive and ultimately kill, say, a Conviction enchanted Souls boss group... Sure, I could go for Highlord's as an amulet in this case (which I also have) but I value the AD proc of Atma's even more (again: AD, best curse in the game; don't even try to fight me, you'd lose). And while I know about Thundergod's Vigor, it does not provide the 10% IAS bonus that I need over what the helm and gloves provide to maximise my attack speed (and the AD proc).
* Small charms with damage I am collecting on but they are soooo damn hard to find... *sigh*

You don't use nose for the it's you use it for the peirce it gives you.

Nosferatu does not provide 33% pierce; you are mixing with Razortail (which does not provide IAS by the way)

Yup you right either way razortail is way to go

Not for me. If I use razortail I lose attack speed, which I don't want. AD is much more valuable than pierce.

I guess I would go with andys visage with a 15 Ias jewel in it. I am assuming you dont want to buy a 30 fire res 15 ias jewel but try to get one with at least one helpful mod.

Then all you need after that is laying of hands which would cancel out the negative fire res somewhat and go with razortail for more damage.
